David vs. Goliath

If you have not seen it already, here it is: In an attempt to boost TV ratings; Japan's leading MMA group, the DREAM promotion, put together a tournament themed "David vs. Goliath." In this tournament, undersized but determined fighters are put up against giant-shrek like beasts in what seems to be a plot to see who can last the longest in the ring. In this case, former Bash Brother and Oakland Athletic, Jose Canseco, makes his MMA debut; yes, I said MMA debut. The 6' 4", 240-pound Canseco took on the 7' 2", 330-pound Korean beast, Hong-man Choi. The rather dwarfed Canseco did connect on a couple punches and a kick to the mid-section; however, was no match for the Goliath-like Choi. But, I guess he did last 1:17 longer than I would expect a fighter with no real MMA training to go. I just hope he does not think he has a future in this sport. Don't quit your day job Jose!

If you have ever heard me say that and didn't know what the hell it meant, plus you wanna pretty good laugh.. Peep the video. Yeah, there's a whole bunch of stuff that isn't on there.. But, I'd say this pretty much sums it up. Whatever You Like poppin' on the radio 5 times within the same damn hour, "Good" Rap(?), Good laughs, Good people..... Good times.

F*ck a "Weekend Warrior"

We "Weekday Warriors."
So a Monday Night, you automatically think - "oh no, a school night, i can't go out!" - Right? Wrong, least not in our case. This was a random, yet chill, Monday night. Having 1 day left of school and Zonio home from Iraq for 2 weeks; I'm obviously ready for summer to get started. I was NOT trying to be at home. Going mad, bored at home at 10:00, I hit up Z to see what's good. I find out him and Jaye are about to head to SJ so he can get another tat (Yea, I didn't know shops were open this late either). But only seeing this done on Miami Ink, I decided to tag along. In the process of seeing this in person for the first time, I also got some pretty dope shots; not to mention a possible "connec-t" into the photography world.

You know you're hella Filipino when you have one of these!

Alibata: "Honor"

Monk, Zonio's tattoo artist, was feeling some of the pics I was taking and asked how much I would charge 'em to take some pictures of him and his pieces, so he can send it to some tattoo magazines. Suprised, and just diggin' the fact that im just some kid with a Nikon, I told him: "Shit, if you can get my name out there, I'd take em for free!" So he took my number down and, we'll wait to see what happens.

The Final Product

Once he finished, it was about 11:30 or so but, we were not trying to home yet. So we hit up everyone to see who is trying to kick it and we get a hold of Vergeo and Darren. We tell them to meet us at Z's in 20 minutes. Once we all get to Z's we try to figure out what to do. Well, we have a fridge full of beer, a fold out table, and two people who think they can't be beat (Jaye-Z). So, beer pong it is!
